Oh lord

My God

As I settle down to read

Plant in me a seed

To give knowledge

Without taking me over the edge

To relieve my brain

Of unnecessary strain

To make gain

Without causing me much pain

So that at the end

Which to reach I intend

I will reap the reward

Of putting my trust in your word

Amen.
